Yesaya Bangun Ekoliesanto Billie Astivan Copyright (c) 2026 KINAA: Jurnal Kepemimpinan Kristen dan Pemberdayaan Jemaat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-06-04 2026-06-04 7 1 1 11 10.34307/kinaa.v7i1.256 Asking Wisdom, Leading the People: Solomon's Example for Transformational Leadership Based on 1 Kings 3:1-15 https://kinaa.iakn-toraja.ac.id/index.php/ojsdatakinaa/article/view/239
Leadership crises marked by pragmatism and lack of integrity raise the need for a more profound leadership foundation. This study addresses the question: How does Solomon's narrative in 1 Kings 3:1-15 model the four components of transformational leadership (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration) and what underlying theological dimension does it offer? Using a qualitative method with a hermeneutic and exegetical approach, this research conducts an exposition of the text of 1 Kings 3:1-15 followed by an integrative synthesis with transformational leadership theory. The findings reveal that the four pillars of transformational leadership are manifested in Solomon's example: idealized influence through humility and dependence on God, inspirational motivation through a vision of justice and shared welfare, intellectual stimulation by making wisdom a paradigm of thinking, and individual consideration through commitment to justice for the people. Beyond confirming the existing theory, this research identifies a "Transcendental Foundation" as the core that underlies and deepens the four pillars. This foundation is defined as a radical dependence on God manifested through the application of divine wisdom. The result is a transformational theological leadership model where the leader functions as a conduit for divine wisdom. The "Asking Wisdom, Leading the People" paradigm offers a robust spiritual and ethical foundation for leadership, particularly within religious communities.
Ragil Kristiawan Copyright (c) 2026 KINAA: Jurnal Kepemimpinan Kristen dan Pemberdayaan Jemaat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-06-09 2026-06-09 7 1 12 30 10.34307/kinaa.v7i1.239 Leading By Heart: A Transformational Leadership Paradigm within the Church Context https://kinaa.iakn-toraja.ac.id/index.php/ojsdatakinaa/article/view/217
Leadership within the church context is not solely anchored in formal authority, but rather in the capacity to inspire, serve, and transform congregants. Transformational leadership paradigm, rooted in the principle of “leading by heart,” offers a spiritual approach to nurturing faith communities. It emphasizes accountability, emotional stability, the development of others, vigilance against temptations like wealth, affection, and power, and reverence for God as foundations for authentic relationships. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology through library research, this study analyses ecclesiastical leadership practices. The findings indicate that heart-centred leadership fosters an inclusive, compassionate communal climate. The implications extend to all ministers in the Gereja Toraja, calling them to shepherd the faithful as agents of transformation. By leading by heart, the church becomes a vibrant space where Christ’s love is tangibly manifested through transformative actions, relationships, and service.
This article aims to analyze the origin and theological-ideological function of the resurrection theology in Daniel 12:1–13. This study employs a qualitative library research design, using an exegetical analysis of Daniel 12:1–13 through the lens of Ideological Criticism. The primary issue examined is how this apocalyptic narrative serves as an instrument of resistance against the political-religious hegemony of the Seleucid Dynasty. The study finds that the concept of resurrection was produced by the Maskilim (the wise) not merely as an eschatological dogma, but as a leadership strategy to empower the resilience of the oppressed Jewish community. Leaders acted as agents of intellectual liberation, deconstructing the rulers' seemingly absolute ideology. Contextually, this retroactive eschatological idea urges contemporary congregational leaders to become modern Maskilim who are capable of articulating a theology of hope, especially in the midst of any structural power dynamics that appear absolute.

Frans Pangrante Ivan Sampe Buntu Copyright (c) 2026 KINAA: Jurnal Kepemimpinan Kristen dan Pemberdayaan Jemaat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2026-07-01 2026-07-01 7 1 67 87 10.34307/kinaa.v7i1.318
